Collapsible Intermediate Bulk Container

Why Collapsible IBCs over Traditional Rigid Bottle and Cage?

Superior Space Savings and Stacking Efficiency

Superior Space Savings and Stacking Efficiency

Superior Space Savings and Stacking Efficiency

  • Stacking Capacity: Collapsible IBCs can be safely stacked up to 5  containers high, with each container holding 315 gallons of liquid. This  allows for a total of 1,575 gallons in a single stack footprint. In  contrast, rigid bottle and cage IBCs can only be stacked 2 containers  high, typically holding around 275–330 gallons each, resulting in a  maximum of 660 gallons per stack. This means collapsible IBCs offer over  2.3 times more storage capacity in the same vertical space.
  • Compact Design: When empty, collapsible IBCs can be folded down,  significantly reducing their footprint. This allows for efficient  storage in warehouses, freeing up valuable floor space compared to rigid  bottle and cage IBCs, which remain bulky even when not in use.

Enhanced Return Freight Efficiency

  • Return Freight Savings: A single truck can transport up to 220 empty  collapsible IBCs, compared to only 60 rigid bottle and cage IBCs. This  represents a 3.67 times improvement in return freight efficiency,  drastically reducing transportation costs and environmental impact.  Fewer trips mean lower fuel consumption and a smaller carbon footprint,  aligning with sustainability goals.

Significant Cost Savings

Significant Cost Savings

  • Leasing Affordability: Customers can lease collapsible IBCs for as  little as $20 per month, plus the cost of liners. This predictable,  low-cost model supports long-term budgeting and operational flexibility.
  • Comparison to Bottle and Cage: Rigid bottle and cage IBCs cost  an average of $185 per use, making them significantly more expensive,  especially for frequent or high-volume operations. For example, over a  year, leasing a collapsible IBC could cost as little as $240 (including liner costs), while a single bottle and cage IBC  used just 5 times would cost $925.00, with costs escalating rapidly for  additional uses.
  • Long-Term Savings: The combination of lower  leasing costs and reduced freight expenses makes collapsible IBCs a  financially smart choice. Businesses can reinvest these savings into  other areas, such as expanding operations or improving supply chain  efficiency.

Additional Benefits

Significant Cost Savings

  • Durability and Re-usability: Collapsible IBCs are designed for  durability, with robust materials that withstand repeated use while  maintaining structural integrity. This contrasts with bottle and cage  IBCs, which may require more frequent replacement due to wear and tear.
  • Ease of Handling: The collapsible design simplifies setup, breakdown,  and cleaning, reducing labor costs and operational downtime.
  • Sustainability: By enabling more efficient transport and storage,  collapsible IBCs contribute to greener logistics, reducing waste and  emissions compared to rigid alternatives.
